Baseball NZ's National Player Pathway demonstrates the layers of baseball, how they fit together and the pathway that players and coaches can move through in their baseball journey.

No athlete journey is identical.  The Basebal NZ National Player Pathway enables players to progress at their own rate of development, providing the mechanisms, opportunities and coaching necessary for an athletes ongoing development.

The National Player Pathway focuses on long-term athlete development, that is purposeful, aligned to a player's age and stage of growth and development and with increased coaching contact points. 


The new-look National Player Pathway, with the establishment of the Regional Development Hubs, ensures it is a clear and effective pathway with a detailed framework to facilitate a player's baseball development and journey.
